Khadi Cotton Plain – MCFC014

Khadi has an extremely long and illustrious history. For thousands of years, weavers across India have handspun and hand-woven to create this marvelous natural fiber cloth.

Khadi gained a huge significance during India’s freedom struggle and was patronized by Mahatma Gandhi as a symbol of selfreliance and defiance against oppression.

Khadi is usually woven from cotton and may also include silk, or wool, which are all handspun into yarn on a spinning wheel called a charkha. It takes hours and hours of incredible hard work, patience and exemplary skills to produce the Khadi fabric.

This purely natural fabric is immensely popular through out the world for its amazing qualities, splendid versatility and an irresistible appeal!
